Learn Bambara Language

Bambara, or bamanankan, is one of Mali’s national languages. It is the most widely spoken language in the country (82%) and the main mother tongue (46%).

It is part of the Mande and Mandinka language family. This group is composed of the following languages: Mandinka, Maninka, and Dioula. It is one of the flagship languages of the period of the Mali Empire along with Mandinka. These languages of West Africa, are very similar, the most distant differences remain intelligible.
