The Punu are one of the Bantu peoples of Central Africa who reside mainly in the south of Gabon. And also in the Republic of Congo in the Niari region. They represent one of the main so-called shira-punu groups. To which the Sangu or ( Massango) are also linked. Punu is a Bantu language that is spoken by the punished population in Gabon and the Republic of Congo.
