Kikongo, also known as Kongo, is a language spoken by 537,000 (2000) people. It is a Bantu language from Central Africa which is spoken in Congo Kinshasa, from the south-west to Kinshasa.

This language is also found in other countries such as the Republic of Congo, Gabon and Angola.

Kikongo has three ethnological sub-groups: Yombe, Vili and Lari, which is used in areas such as commerce, public administration and culture.
