Daza, also called Dazaga or Gorane, is a Nilo-Saharan language mainly spoken in Chad and Niger. In Chad, the language is found in the regions of Barh el Gazel, Batha, Kanem, Ennedi Ouest, Hadjer-Lami, Wadi Fira and Lac. The number of Daza speakers is estimated at 606,000 (2019). Daza is also spoken in countries such as Libya and Sudan.
