Tunen(or Banen, Banend, Nen, Penin, Penyin) is a southern Bantoid language spoken in Cameroon in the Littoral and Central regions by the Banen populations.
In 1997 the number of speakers was estimated at 40,0001. It has several variants depending on the geographical area. Thus, one can distinguish Tunen (Fombo and Touna) in the department of Nkam, Topiogne and Alinga in Mbam… However, the linguistic skeleton remains the same.
